Prayer for Joseph Frazier

For anyone who doesn't know who Joseph Frazier is, he is one remarkable, caring, passionate and all around good guy and friend who loves playing basketball more than anything in the world. I have had the pleasure of playing with Joe in numerous basketball leagues while in college (at CSUN) and even most recently in a league we finished playing in two weeks ago and if you play ball in any capacity in the LA/San Fernando Valley area whether your a kid or an adult than you know Joe.

If you are unfamiliar with what has taken place over the last week below is the article that was put out in the Los Angeles Times:
Joe Frazier, a former Cal State Northridge and Pasadena Muir basketball player who has been an assistant coach at Calabasas, is in a coma at Northridge Hospital Medical Center after suffering a head injury when he was involved in a hit-and-run accident while riding his motorcyle Thursday night (August 25 at 8:45pm), Calabasas Coach Jon Palarz said.
A hospital spokeswoman said Sunday he was listed in critical condition.
Palarz said in an email that witnesses told police that the driver of a light-colored, SUV-type vehicle ran a red light near the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Wilbur Avenue in Tarzana. Frazier tried to avoid the collision but couldn't and was struck by the vehicle. The driver has not been found.
Frazier was wearing a helmet but suffered a head injury and underwent surgery, according to Palarz.
"Joe is not just a beloved coach within the Calabasas program, but he has been very active in the basketball community," Palarz said.

Good news is is that Joe is making progress. Every improvement even if small is great. God is Good! We went to visit him last night and his dad and friends told us that swelling is going down, when they shined a light in his eyes there was movement, he coughed and is breathing on his own periodically. Lets keep the prayers coming. With a basketball in his left hand given to him by Pastor Dudley of Shepherd of the Hills, Joe is keeping his passion close to him as he recovers. We all know Joe will be back on the court in no time.

TONIGHT, September 1 at 8:30 PM there will be a prayer Vigil in the parking lot across the street from Northridge Hospital Medical Center where Joseph currently is in ICU. If you have the time to make it out please do. Prayer works!
